How to access New Hope wineries in Pennsylvania
New Hope, Pennsylvania is within driving distance of two big cities.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is approximately 40 miles south of New Hope, PA. The quickest route would take about one hour by car.
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is a major airport with many domestic and international flights. It would be easy to fly into Philadelphia, rent a car at the airport, and drive from the airport to New Hope.

New York City is approximately 65-75 miles north of New Hope. Depending on your route and your starting point the trip from New York City could take between 90 minutes to two hours by car.
New Hope, Pennsylvania is also within driving distance of several small towns. Doylestown, Pennsylvania is only 10 miles from New Hope. Trenton, New Jersey is about 20 miles southwest of New Hope, PA. Princeton, New Jersey is about 25 miles southwest of New Hope.

New Hope Winery (New Hope)
New Hope Winery has a colorful past. This mid 18th-century hay barn has housed a museum, an antique shop, and two wineries.
The rustic 18th century barn currently houses New Hope Winery’s beautiful restaurant and full bar The Tavern (previously called The Pour House).
The Tavern at New Hope Winery is open for lunch, dinner, and drinks and it serves soups, sandwiches, small plates, and main dishes. They also serve draft beer and seasonal craft cocktails in addition to local and imported wines by the glass.
Instead of a classic wine tasting New Hope Winery offers a wine flight. The wine flight costs $20 and includes three two-ounce pours of their wines. New Hope Winery makes white wines such as Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Solebury White. New Hope Winery also makes wine products such as White Sangria, Red Sangria, and Strawberry, Blackberry, and Raspberry flavored wines.

New Hope Ferry Market (New Hope)
The New Hope Ferry Market is a great place to drink wine in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
This gourmet food market on Main Street houses nine food vendors and two alcoholic beverage vendors: Odd Logic Brewing Company and Unionville Vineyards.
Unionville Vineyards produces terroir-driven old-world style wines that will remind you of the Rhône Valley and Burgundy, France. Their acid-driven wines are food friendly, which is great since The New Hope Ferry Market is full of gourmet foods vendors.

The best wineries near New Hope, Pennsylvania
There are several tiny towns within easy driving distance of New Hope. All of the wineries on this list are easily accessible by car.

Crossing Vineyards & Winery (Newtown)
Crossing Vineyards and Winery is located on a 200-year-old estate less than a mile from where George Washington crossed the Delaware River in 1776.
In 2000 Tom Carroll founded this winery on his family’s property and the rest is history. Since its beginning Crossing Vineyards and Winery has earned awards such as “Best of Bucks” and “Best of Bucks Mont.”
Crossing Vineyards and Winery produces white wines such as Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Vidal Blanc, and Viognier. They work with red wine grapes like Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Sweet wine lovers can taste their specialty wines with flavors like Apple, Peach, Sangria, Wild Berry, and Chocolate Cherry Truffle.
Crossing Vineyards and Winery offers several group wine tastings. The “Classic Wine Tasting” is a guided tasting of ten different wines for $20 for up to six people. If your group includes seven people or more then sign up for the “Group Wine Tasting,” which costs $30 per person.
The “Wine Tasting Lunch” is $60 per person and includes a classic wine tasting plus lunch for up to six people. If your group includes seven people or more then you can do a “Celebration Wine Tasting” which is $65 per person and includes lunch.

Wycombe Vineyards (Furlong)
Wycombe Vineyards has family roots that reach even deeper than the vines.
In fact, this land has been in their family since 1920. Today about ten of their sixty-five acres are planed with classic Vinefera and French Hybrid varieties.
Wycombe Vineyards produces white wines including Traminette, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. They also make Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from their own grapes.
Their guided wine tasting features eight one-ounce samples for $15 per person. Their wine flight includes four three-ounce pours to enjoy while seated. Seated guided tastings are by appointment. Walk-in customers are welcome on a first-come first-served basis. Friendly dogs are welcome if they remain on leash.

Buckingham Valley Vineyards (Buckingham)
Buckingham Valley Vineyards was established in 1966, which makes it one of the oldest wineries in Bucks County and Pennsylvania.
This family-owned winery produces red, rosé, and white wines as well as fruit wines and port. They even make méthode champenoise sparkling wines.
Buckingham Valley Vineyards offers $10 wine flights that feature five different wines. Guests can enjoy their wine outside on the spacious lawn, at picnic tables, or during live music on the weekends. Wine flights are available on a first-come first-served basis.
There’s even a gift shop that sells water, snacks, and wine-themed shirts.

Rose Bank Winery (Newtown)
Rose Bank Winery is a great place to bring a group.
Their rustic winery tasting room called The Grotto is located in the lower level of the historic Buckman Barn. Wine tastings are $10 per person. If you have eight people or more you can book a private tasting for $20 per person.
Rose Bank Winery works with a wide range of grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, DeChaunac, Merlot, Concord, Pinot Grigio, Niagara, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. They also produce Vidal Blanc and Chancellor, which are both French-American hybrid grapes.
Customers who like fruit wine will be happy to see that their Blackberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, and Pomegranate wines are made from 100% fruit juice.
The winery operates Thursday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Their gift shop stocks wine-themed gifts, gourmet food, and of course their award-winning wines. Rose Bank Winery also hosts special events like weddings and private parties in their barn and two ballrooms.

Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery (Perkasie)
The Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery is a family-owned and operated winery that offers over twenty kinds of wine ranging from dry, off-dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines.
Their bestselling “Dark Bishop” Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in rye whiskey barrels, which lends a smooth mouthfeel. They also produce Merlot, Riesling, Marquette (related to Pinot Noir), and various fruit wines like apple, strawberry, and cranberry.
Wine tastings feature six wines from their large selection of fine Pennsylvania wines. Walk-ins are welcome but if your group is larger than ten people be sure to make a group reservation.
Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery has a gift shop, a rustic winery tasting room, and fire pits with Adirondack chairs. Sometimes the winery turns into a little live music venue on the weekends. This historic property (it’s been in the Bishop family for over a century!) is a member of the Bucks County Wine Trail.

Sand Castle Winery (Erwinna)
Sand Castle Winery is a mix of Slovakian heritage and American innovation.
This 72-acre estate near the Delaware River grows wine grapes including Cabernet, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Noir.
They also produce Riesling, Rosé, and Claret wines and two kinds of port. Their white port is fortified with Pennsylvania made cognac and has notes of grapefruit and apricot.
Their one-hour long wine tastings feature twelve estate-grown wines for $20 per person. Sand Castle Winery is open Thursday through Sunday and closed Monday through Wednesday.

Aviator Winery (Perkasie)
The last winery on our list has an unusual location… Aviator Winery is located in the hangar at AGA Farms.
Of course their labels are aviation themed including the “First Class Cabin” wine, which is aged in whiskey barrels.
Aviator Winery makes about ten wines from grape varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Sweet Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. They even make apple wine from local fruit.
Wine tastings cost $6 for four wine samples and you even get a complimentary wine glass to take home.
When you visit Aviator Winery take a minute to look around AGA Farms. Their 100-acre farm grows pumpkins, corn, soy, and fir trees.
